Hello,
I am Mike, a full-time father to two wonderful little girls that make me smile, a runner, and a person continually striving to find the path God desires most for me.
We (well, ok... I...) would like to think leadership is sitting in a quiet room, coming up with the ultimate full proof plan, and being able to enact said plan in a smooth efficient manner. The video seemed to highlight the reality of leadership, where things are already moving and not only are there aspects that need repair but also need to be constructed. In that process, sometimes the overall inertia of the group being led cannot necessarily be stopped in order to redesign but must be re-guided and shaped as it moves. The video truly speaks to the gravity of the difficulties in stepping into a pre-existing system and instilling personal leadership skills into that realm.
