I have been running meetings professionally for more than 20 years, so I don't know that there are a ton of major things to learn for me. However, there are always nuances and strategies to add on. I observed a contract review meeting at work. I've been in contract review meetings in congregational settings as well, and there are a lot of similarities. One of the things that is really common is the amount of stress that cycles up around contracts. They're money plus legal and it can be intimidating or alarming for people not used to dealing with them, and even for those who do have experience. Having a way to get people to relax, especially a nonverbal one is useful. Leaving for a casual errand after the meeting started might be unorthodox, but in the right context, it was a useful way to drop the tension level.
Ignore the file version above - it wasn't the saved copy. (It has extra stuff at the end I had left in for fun, but then took out because it was so LONG.)
Use this one if you prefer shorter.
