One: Almighty Creator, Blessings of All Blessings,

All: Mercy of all Mercies, we Glorify you in the midst of our loneliness and pain.

One: We bless you even when we need blessings from you. In the midst of so much pain and disconnect from our normal lives, we pray for a sense of connection and a sense of care through your Holy Spirit.

All: Creator of all creation we plead for you to hear us as we reflect on our current life experience.

One: In the midst of this cosmic universe, our spirits are looking for a purpose when this illness has ravaged our town, our county, our commonwealth, and so many other places around the world. There have been so many that we are grieving the loss of today. How Long, O Lord How Long? We cry to you, God.

All: Our hearts innocently come to your beck and call, come to us o Spirit. Hear us when we pray and when we cry out!

One: Some might say this is a enemy or an unseen difficulty. We do not know why this ravages our world, but we ask for your holy intervention.

All: Nevertheless, even in this time of trial, we praise you Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer, the almighty three in one. We glorify you and put our trust in you and in your gifts and your guidance.

One: Help us to reach out to our neighbor and to bring upon a light in this darkness that we are experiencing.

All: We pray that you would intervene in all the spiritual ways that you know how, to bring upon a resurrection from this illness! Bring a sense of love and care to those that are feeling a void. Bring a peace and a joy even in this sadness and grief. Deliver us from our distress and our worry. Help us not to have anxious worry in this time.

One: You are always here, our blessed Creator. You are always present in our lives, our blessed Sustainer. You are always present and always redeeming us, our blessed Redeemer. We thank you for this omnipresence and your spiritual ear to hear our cry and our pain. To see our hurt and our loss. To feel our misery and distress.

All: We glorify you, we praise you, we thank you for being present in so many glorious and marvelous ways. We thank you for sending Jesus to die and rise so that we might live eternally.

One: All things come to you, not just some things, but all things come to you O God. Help us remember this especially in this most difficult hour of time.

All: All things come to you, God. Forgive us and deliver us from our distress. We bless your holy name, Thanks Be to God!

I chose this form, because in community it is a joy to say some parts together and hear other parts. This can also be used without this distinction of parts.

Blessings,

Calvin
