My paper is still in progress but what I am continually growing in is adapting to the various needs that a meeting could or should address.  We need to get business done but we also must make room for and allow space for whole people.  This changes as group dynamics change and the participants become more familiar if a meeting is ongoing.  For instance, with a new project team I may institute an icebreaker at the first few meetings.  After camaraderie and rapport is established though, this emotional work is done elsewhere and an icebreaker may feel forced or constraining.
